You’re interested in proposing a Webinar for OWHE? You’ve found the right place! Hosting a webinar offers you a chance to practice your speaking and presentation skills for a growing digital audience. You may also have the opportunity to share your content with your campus and the full OWHE community.

 

These webinars are for all OWHE members and allies who want to connect and learn about the different topics and themes shared. Webinars are open to OWHE members and their colleagues and are free to all. All of our webinars are recorded and available for all to access through the OWHE website and YouTube account. 

 

This is how it works:

  • Come up with an idea for a webinar. It can be carryover from presentations you gave for other organizations or trainings or seminars you have given on your campus.

  • See if your webinar aligns with the OWHE mission and values.

  • Submit a proposal by filling out the Proposal Form.

    • Your proposal will go through a committee’s review process.

    • If your proposal is accepted, you’ll work with the Director of Education to finalize the webinar content. You will submit a powerpoint and discuss the webinar with the Director of Education prior to going live.

  • Go live with the webinar on the selected date using Zoom technology. You’ll work with OWHE’s Director of Education to set up and get ready for the webinar.

 

We’re planning to review proposals quarterly and will provide information at the annual conference about how this works. For now, please pay attention to the following submission deadlines:

 

  • March 31 - to host a webinar in the summer

  • June 30 - to host a webinar in the fall

  • September 30 - to host a webinar in the winter

  • December 31 - to host a webinar in the spring

 

All webinars should last 45-60 minutes.
